Best place in the Cincinnati area to go for discus. Nick’s been the go to guy for discus for at least 20 years because thats how long I’ve been buying them from him. Super knowledgeable dude and best prices in town. Also probably the best place to go for live rock if you’re into salt water. For both prices and quality. JUST GO THERE AND BUY SOMETHING!!! You won’t be sorry.

I've wanted to keep discus since I was 12 and finally decided to pull the trigger when I was 27. Nick convinced me in less than 15 minutes that I could keep discus and he had the biggest, most vibrant selection I've seen in the area in the last 15 years. I bought 10 discus and have since decided to convert my 225gal into a discus tank. Thanks Nick!

I have not been keeping fish for quite some time since I sold my home. I must say Nick is going to be crankiest individuals I've ever met in my life. The flip side of that I would not trade the time I spent with that man in that store for anything or any other experience in my lifetime. He always gave me the best prices on Fiji live Coral that I can find anywhere in town. Show me one other store in town other than Nick sweatpants that actually runs their entire store off of a live rock wet dry filter. Nobody and I repeat nobody in this area does that except possibly the Cincinnati aquarium. Nick I haven't seen you for a while but your store came up in a conversation this morning and I'm going to have to drop by and see you and I'll remind you of the post. My name is Kevin I bought for you from you for several years with another guy. Look forward to seeing you again buddy keep those dirty jokes in your head till I get there I can't wait.

My husband Bill recently walked into Wet Pets looking for a bulk head with no idea he would see the best selection of discus he has ever seen. Started talking to Nick about them because we had a new aquarium and he educated us on how to set tank up to raise discus. After very impatiently waiting for perfect timing we now have 7 beautiful discus and can't wait to go get 7 more. Nick has been very patient with all our questions. Not only does he treat you like a customer but more than that treats you like a friend. Highly recommend you to stop in and meet Nick!!

The owner, Nick, is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is willing to answer any questions. I was curious what lights to get to bring out the colors of my fish better and he knew exactly what I needed and told me he could order them for me on my schedule. His fish are healthy and he has the best selection of discus around ! Thank you!

This is the best place in Cincinnati to buy aquarium fish. The tanks are always clean and well kept the fish look amazing. We have made several trips to the store purchase fish have never been unsatisfied. The owner is very intelligent and knows his stuff when it comes to fish.

Beautiful discus for sure but not a large selection otherwise.

Edited from 3 stars to 1 6/9/2022 - stopped in with my son this afternoon (2pm) looking for a sand dwelling anenome to add to our reef tank. We walked in and were greeted by a guy I assume is the owner. Painfully small selection of freshwater fish unless you want a discus. Moving onto saltwater... we started to go into the salt area and the owner told me "oh the lights aren't on yet honey." Okay? Weird, but I asked if we could still look. He told us "I guess, but there isn't much to see." We peeked our heads in and honestly couldn't see anything other than a few firefish and someone vacuuming. We started to leave and the owner called out "maybe next time!" There will definitely NOT be a next time. I'm not super sure how this place stays in business when Monfort Aquarium is less than 10 minutes away.
